What can we accomplish at a Student Level Planning Meeting?
At an initial meeting we might look at your PSSA/Keystone scores, baseline Study Island data, Benchmark results, projection data for proficiency on future assessments, as well as other relevant district assessments and classroom data. As we review each piece of information we may ask questions such as:
1. How did you perform on your most recent PSSA? On past PSSA tests?
2. Where did you perform on your Benchmark assessments?
3. Where might you be headed in the future in terms of performance if we continue on the same path? Are you on a solid path to proficiency? At risk of not reaching proficiency?
4. Is there other relative data we can evaluate?
5. What do these results tell us about your needs (as a student)?
What else can we accomplish? -Discuss how Study Island and/or Khan Academy can help prepare you for the PSSA/Keystone Exam. -Go over strategies for taking Standardized Tests -Examine rubrics used for scoring open-ended PSSA questions and Constructed Response Keystone Exam questions. -Explore various calculator keys/functions on your calculator (or mine)
